Nice job, dude!
I'm happy you didn't post any spoiler characters (even though I know them all).
I really liked how Pikachu appeared. Makes me think of how they do it in Brawl, with little intros to all of the characters during the countdown before a match.
I also liked how you kept it to beat with the music. Great idea!

I would have liked more battling, but that's ok.
Overall I enjoyed it! Definitely worth the front page!

I wasn't expecting it to be anything great, from the description, but it turned out to be a nice story with a great twist!
The added part where the bird flies to another similar pillar was kool too.
